MLF Consulting LLC is a premier consulting group specializing in assisting clients in the permitting process under Boston’s zoning for Article 80 Large and Small Project Reviews, Institutional Master Plan (IMP) completions, and all permitting tasks needed for a Boston Inspectional Services Department Building Permit. Mitch Fischman, who leads the group, has over 45 years experience in the Boston area in the field of planning, environmental consulting and real estate development in the public and private sectors.

Currently, MLF Consulting is assisting clients in several Large Project Reviews for mixed-use and multi-family residential developments. These include 99 Tremont Street (Brighton), DOT BLOCK (Dorchester), 1725 Hyde Park Avenue (Hyde Park), 3200 Washington Street (Jamaica Plain), Madison Park Infill Sites (Roxbury), 14 West Broadway (South Boston), and 1235-1237 VFW Parkway (West Roxbury). MLF Consulting is also completing post-Article 80 required permits from a new self-storage warehouse in West Roxbury.

Among the projects successfully completed over the last two years, were a new IMP for Northeastern University, permitting the University’s new science and engineering complex and permitting the GrandMarc student residence on St. Botolph Street for 720 Northeastern University beds in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood. Also completed was the permitting for a mixed-use apartment complex in Mission Hill that complements several successful other apartment and hotel project entitlements in 2011-2012 in the Fenway, Downtown Theatre District and Brighton.

With the city of Boston development permit requirement changes under the new Mayor Walsh’s administration in the areas of project public benefits, sustainability and affordable housing requirements, MLF Consulting continues to focus on new ways for its clients to better navigate the requirements of Boston.
